How to set a field value in the intersection table on association

Hi,

We have a requirement to populate a column REL_TYPE_CD in S_PARTY_REL when two different types of accounts are associated. How to predefault a column REL_TYPE_CD with a value here. How generally a field value can be set in the intersection field on Association instead of post association and setting the field values again.

this is in IP16
