Can process scheduler be used to schedule a custom app engine with date parameters?

We have a custom app engine (a report) that we run through a custom page. The custom page gives the ability to select the parameters to run the report. I will like to schedule this custom app engine so that users will be notified by email. The challenge is being able to select the run control dates (parameters on custom page) when scheduling the process. Is this at all possible using the process scheduler? or we need to customize the auto generated emails as well.
