How have you setup your PT client installs

Looking for how others have set up their PT client installations? Are you using VirtualBox Images, or VMs with separate PT versions? Are you running multiple PT versions on the same machine? What are your gotchas? We currently have PT 8.54 installed on our workstations and are working on an upgrade to 8.57, but are having a difficult time figuring out how to work with both versions at the same time, so it would be helpful to have your experience!
