Workflow notification in Gmail not formatted correctly

Hello,

We use Gmail in Chrome browser as email client. We are on 12.2.7.  Workflow notifications in email, especially requisition approval workflow, are badly formatted. For example, the charge account column has the words "Distributions" in a large font and "close popup" in a smaller font. These words should not be displayed at all. The same email displays correctly on an iPhone's mail client. We opened an SR a couple of years ago. Development suggested the below:
