Any quick and best method to install just PeopleTools patch on DPK installed server?

We are currently installed and running People Tools 8.56.20 in all instances using the DPK method, we feel applying just People Tools patch becoming big tasks like doing Tools upgrade, with this DPK option than the regular way. we have to delete all the domains then uninstall and install tools using DPK then have to install the WebLogic patch too then setting up APP/BATCH/WEB services, (need lot of customization on here). older methods( non DPK) we stopped the services and apply tools patch on the top of the current tools directory.

anyone else have tried or doing any different way to apply just tools patch on DPK installed server?
