Allocation vs Replenishment

Hello,

We are a Fashion shoe brand with 400 shops in a country. Currently we have RMS, RPM, Allocation, MFP and AP modules. We are using Allocation to allocate stock to shops in preseason and in season.

"We are bit confused in WHEN and WHY we should use Allocation and WHEN and WHY we should use Replenishment."

Can you guys please guide in this regard.
