Can PeopleSoft 9.2 AP payment method 'system check' be integrated to the PeopleSoft financial gateway?

We are looking at implementing ISO 20022 with our bank.  ISO 20022 contains formatting for checks (cheques), however the layouts in the Financial Gateway are restricted to electronic formats.

Is that simply a setup issue that I need to address?
