AWE ADD Adhoc Approver Not Saving - Line Level Approval

Hello,
I'm on PeopleSoft 9.2.27 PeopleTools 8.56.09.
I am trying to update my workflow so that Adhoc users can be added to a workflow that is in progress.
This is a Header/Line level approval process.
I can click the + button within the Status Monitor and select the operator that I would like to add.
They show up in the Status Monitor the way I would expect them to.
When I try to exit the page it prompts me to save which means that component is recognizing a page change.
When I Save the page, exit and return, the Adhoc routing is no longer present.
