What is the best way to recover Query Tree customizations after applying a PUM?

As has happened in the past, CS 9.2 PUM 016 updated one or more query trees that we have customized. What are our options to reduce the rework of putting these changes back into the updated tree(s)?

In particular, we bolted on a custom OTHER group on CS 9.2's QUERY_TREE_SF and QUERY_TREE_SR. Within it are a couple additional custom groups and records. What is the best way to move those back in?
