Column Widths - Classic Grid Layout vs Classic Scrollable Grid Layout

Initial grid on the page is configured as 'Classic Grid Layout' and some of the fields are customized to change the column widths We have a new request, so users can scroll through large list of rows without loosing the column heading. So I configured the grid as 'Classic Scrollable Grid Layout'. Though scroll feature is working, new Classic Scrollable Grid Layout displaying the columns wider than they display on 'Classic Grid Layout' . If I switch it back to 'Classic Grid Layout', display is normal again.

Wondering if I am missing something.
