People Tools 8.57 Upgrade

We are upgrade from People Tool 8.54 to 8.57 and we have CRM 9.2 application.

In the process of Tools upgrade via Change assistant - we encountered a performance issue with the Regenerating Sync ID's task.

The process literally took 12hrs to complete.

I have already referred  this link -- E-UPG: Performance Problem with Upgrade Program ae_syncidgen (Doc ID 621225.1)

Here the problem is we are using CRM 9.2 application and we are still using BORM tables like PS_BC, PS_BO_CM, PS_BO_CM_USE.. etc so most of these tables has syncid fields.

Do we still have to run the syncid job during upgrade or shall we skip this step (if yes what would be the impact ) or do we have any option to fine tune this Application Engine ?
