How to associate and ship items to partner types other than manufacturer,wholesaler,distributor?

Is there a way in RMS where I can associate partner types like Agents,Importers, consolidators to items and later point of time ship the items to them?

As of now we can see that only wholesaler,manufacturer, distributor can be associated with items at item_supp_country level.
