Merch hierarchy reclass in RMS

Hi All,

I just had a question regarding merchandise hierarchy reclass. The customer is trying to move department from group to the other, Would it be essential to create department and do an item reclass (or) would it be sufficient to run pending hierarchy batch? Also what are the best practices for item reclass/merchandise hier reclass?
