Events and Notifications (EOEN) - Disable Delivered Notifications?

We are interested in using the Events and Notifications Framework to send email notifications for custom events. However, when we last tried to implement this and activated the IB service operations (EOEN_NOTIFY_MSG), the system began sending numerous unwanted emails to our Order Management and Inventory managers. As it turns out, PeopleSoft delivers a slew of Notification Definitions for IN_PEGGING, OM_PEGGING, IN_DEMAND, etc. and these were generating the unwanted emails.

As a workaround, I attempted to use the "Disable All Notifications" option on the System-Level Notifications page for each delivered Notification which stopped the IN/OM related emails, but then our PS Admin team began receiving dozens of IB error messages, which caused them headaches. Ultimately, we had to turn off the IB service operations again and abandon using Events and Notifications altogether.
