Alternate User ID from My System Profile No Longer Functions The Same

We recently upgraded from 8.57.14 FIN 9.2 Image 30 to Image 34.  We utilize the Alternate User ID when reassigning Workflow from My System Profile this has always created a thread which indicated “Reassigned User for Original User” (for example John Doe for Jane Smith).  This also only sent the reassigned user a notification of approval.  However that is no longer the case.  After the upgrade a Multiple Approver thread is created with both the Original User and Reassigned in it.  Additionally, now  both users are receiving the notifications which creates a great deal of confusion for our users.  We feel sure this is related to the new Delegation Framework although we have not configured or turned on any new delegations.  It appears this feature is partially working. Can anyone offer any assistance on how this may be turned off so we may return back to how we were previously handling reassignments?  Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
