Does Custom EventHandler's triggers while running BulkLoad ?

I have a doubt that , When importing users into oim using bulkload scripts, the existing PostProcess event handlers will trigger or not ? As per my knowledge the bulkload script directly insert data into Database and event handlers won't trigger. If i'm wrong please correct me. Your answers will much appreciate.
