Where to configure email and how

Dear All

We are using PSFSCM 9.2 PT 8.53 zero image. Kindly guide where the email functionality is configured so that from system Notify button where available an email could be sent as well as when someone approves a requisition or it's pending system send auto email, thus would like to know the place and the how to configure activate these emails from system.
