Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. Hello Experts,

We are currently upgrading from PT-8.56 to PT-8.58.

We have Portal as our front facing application and acts as a gateway for HCM and FSCM application.

Our portal application is externally facing and is https enabled. But, The IB gateway is currently a http only URL.

Also, we are also implementing Elasticsearch+kibana-7 along with this upgrade.

So, Could you please advise on below -

1) Should we be using a https IB gateway instead of http? Will there be any security threats if the IB gateway URL is kept as http only.

2) How can we secure Elasticsearch and Kibana specifically for externally exposed sites. Kindly provide recommendations too.
