Should I use 32bit or 64bit ODBC when applying Tax Update to production enviornment on PT 8.56.22

i will be applying tax update 20-B to our production database from my laptop using CA PT 8.58.03

Sometimes I run into issues that the tables/etc are not created in CA so I have to create them through application designer.

Should I use the 32bit connection or the 64 bit connection before I start CA?

The target database is on PT 8.56.22.
