Unified Navigation Between HCM & FIN - Back Button

When working in Finance in any of the expense pages or on the landing page there is a “BACK” button that shows in the upper left corner of the screen.  When this button is selected it doesn’t do anything. 

Example - Login to ESS (HCM), click on the Expenses Tile.  This takes me to the Expense Homepage (now in FIN)....there is a Back button in the upper left hand corner.  It does nothing.  Expectation is that is should return me to ESS homepage within HCM.  See attached.  Any ideas?
