Test connections to Elasticsearch 6.1.2 fail after applying PeopleTools minor patch .29 in PT8.55 De

We have HCM PI21 that we use as a demo image. We apply patches to keep it in sync with our environments. I recently applied PeopleTools .29 patch to the database. I created a new PS_HOME with PeopleTools 8.55.29. I updated the .bashrc files for the 3 psadm accounts to point to the new PS_HOME. I completed the "refresh" of the environment when I ran the psadmin command. I copied the pskey file from backup into the ../piaconfig/keystore. The environment starts just fine. When setting up a new Search Instance to use Elasticsearch 6.1.2 (we are currently still on 2.3.4)
