Report Category in BI Publisher

Dear All

We are using PSFSCM 9.2 PT 8.53 image 0. Could anyone guide whats' the purpose of the report category in the BI Publisher report definition. I would like to use it for the purpose of changing the system delivered report category to a new category eg. sys-rep (new report category) and than sys-rep category ROLES will be assigned to only those who could access this report category and to none else. Is this the right way or is there any other shortcut as for one or two users we don't want them to see some reports.

Below, is the place where I could create new report categories and than via using roles control the access of different reports by different group of people.
