PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2.037 and PeopleTools 8.57

We are in the beginning stages of planning an image catch up project.  I was reading the information in PeopleSoft Financials and Supply Chain Mgt. (FSCM) Update Image Overview 9.2 (FMS, ALM, ESA, SCM and SRM) through Update Image 37 (Doc ID 1495347.1)

It mentions "FSCM image 35 is the first image to utilize PeopleTools 8.58".

Is FSCM image 37 still compatible with PeopleTools version 8.57?  If we remain on PT 8.57, are we just giving up the features that have a minimum tool version of 8.58?
