Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. MOSC will now require that member accounts in our community be associated to a *corporate* email address. This means that users with generic domains (such as gmail.com, yahoo.com, and others) will no longer be granted access to the discussion forums and ideas labs. How to configure a PeopleSoft environment for Japanese ?

We faced several issues when running a PeopleSoft environment for Japanese.

So I will share our experience here. If you have similar experience please share also.

1. nVision drill down when file names in Japanese

2. Web server log messages in Japanese (as a result of previous issue)

We also faced issues with file names for other part of the application, but I will first focus on the 2 first points.

As we are running an AIX environment, and the drill down is a complex process we add to configure the servers to understand Japanese characters:
