Crystal Report Inconsistent failure samlip.cpp Processing will abort.

One of our Crystal Report (it is Aging Report) is erroring out randomly after running for 45min-1hr when it is closed to end of the process. Same report runs to success when we run it again. Today the second run also went to error. We need to do a third run to see if it works.
The pssqltrace.trc on crystal says says -
PSAFFIRM(!nSqlRecurse) failed at E:\pt85416b-retail\peopletools\src\pssam\samlib.cpp, line 1678. Processing will abort.

It is not consistent. We run these Aging reports 2 times a week and it happens more often these days. When we re-run the report 2nd time it finishes without any issue and there is no change in data in between the runs.
