What issues we can expect for LOB data type with 8.57 PT or higher for HRMS 8.8 application?

Following document talks about recommendation of not going beyond PT 8.56 for the applications that are PeopleSoft Application 8.9 or below. We are in the process of upgrading PeopleTools to the latest 8.58 and our application is PeopleSoft HRMS 8.8. We would like to understand more details on the issues that we may come across related to LOB data type. If we know what kind of issues we will run into we can make a better decision on whether to upgrade PT beyond 8.56 or not. Appreciate your help with this matter.  

We finished the first step of of upgrading PT 8.49 to 8.55 and now we have to decide whether we can upgrade to 8.56, 8.57 or 8.58. Our preference will be to get to latest PT release which is 8.58.
