ServiceOperationsTester for Asynchronous Service Not Writing to Gateway Message Log

Using: PeopleTools 8.53

We've configured our gateway message log filter to 5, which is debugging. It should show all gateway activity.

When I run the Service Operations Tester for a given service operation we're debugging, we don't get a messageLog.html or errorLog.html. The gateway is up and running, we just get nothing (we're trying to talk to a web service).

We can see the synchronus raw xml before transformation in the Synchronous service monitor, but nothing else.
