Is there a way to stop bad nVision drilldwns from exceeding the 15 minute max processing time?

When an end user does a bad drill (i.e. a drill resulting in this error - DrillDown only works at the intersection of an amount row and column.), the error is added to the message log within seconds but then the drill keeps "running" past the 15 minute max processing time and has to be cancelled manually from the process scheduler.
