Changes to PSAPPSRV.cfg Reverted back, why ?

I made changes to the app server file - psappsrv.cfg - reconfigured the app server and it improved the nvision performance. this was done on 8/20 - so now Nvision users are having issues again and when I check the appspsrv.cfg file- it was set back to the original settings BUT the file is still dated 8/20. The settings I changed were as follows:  'Client Cleanup Timeout' value from 360 to 480,  psqrysrv: service Timeout=0, psappserv: service Timeout = 0, Max Fetch Size = 0 Makes no sense to me. What could have caused this ?
