Multiple Web profiles with single App Server and Database

Dear Team,

There are requirements to create multiple web profiles/ entry points for multiple business entities. There will be 3-5 separate web profiles with single app server and single DB. The end users based on functionality will be given different web URL and will land to the common app server/DB. Based on the defined roles and permissions, components accessibility will be provided.

Is it safe to develop and use multiple web profiles on single app server ? What are the disadvantages of having multiple web profiles? Any major impact which needs to be considered..?

Appreciate if you can please advise on this and share your valuable inputs.
