Major changes btw PT 8.55 to PT 8.58 not listed in release notes or CFO tool list

Hi All,

We are planning to upgrade from PT 8.55 to PT 8.58. We had analysed the release notes and extract from CFO tool during initial analysis of the project. However during testing phases we encountered couple of issues which are high impacting but not part of Oracle documents we have referred to, few examples:

  1. default character set change from latin1 to UTF-8 at appserver config level
  2. Some currency codes being deleted
  3. some xlatitems being deleted ....We feel there could be many such other items which we may not cover in testing.Is there any oracle document which potentially lists many such details? Can you all shre your experience in this regard..any other areas which we should cover during testing for a successful PT upgrade. Thank you, Santosh
