How to associate query to new XML template used for dunning letters?

Using EBS R12.2.

When running dunning letter process, getting the error "Error:Sending process failed: missing query for corresponding template". Had an SR opened before and this was resolved by the following "you did not associate a query to your new custom German template. You must always associate a custom or seeded query to each new template you create."

Looking for steps to associate a query; I forgot how this was done.
