Can we use sub templates in PeopleSoft BI Publisher with different data source?

Hi,

We are trying to customize PeopleSoft delivered invoice template.. we need some late fee and validity date on the invoice. There are 2 ways that we are thinking of:

1. As invoice generation is COBOL process, we can change its data source and then we can change its COBOL SQL file. But this is difficult process as it requires COBOL skills.
2. We can create another data source for late fee and validity date and create sub template for it and can use this sub template in the invoice template.

We are going with number 2. We found many articles in oracle docs and blogs using sub templates but that sub templates were for same data source, as I am trying to use different data source, I couldn't find any help on sub templates with different data source.
