How can you get into a query that is no longer valid in order to fix it?

So a query that was used a few months ago has suddenly gone from the users listing. When I go into query administration, the query is there but will not pull up. All you get is the invalid or incomplete query. How can I get into it to fix it or grab the SQL from it?
