Has anyone encountered SMTP connection issue after Peopletools 8.56.24 Patching?

We are encountering intermittent SMTP connection issue after we have applied PT 8.56.24 in production.

We have found below error in the APPSRV & SMTP logs -

The error says it cannot connect to SMTP server however server to server communication is happening since emails notifications are working for most of the cases. The issue is intermittent.
