Is it possible to personalise the Agreements New Search Screen to add more fields?

Client has raised the question if it is possible to add more filter buttons permanently in the Agreements Screen within Buyer Work Center.

Navigation - Purchasing > Buyer Work Center > Agreements > New Search

There is the button Add which is an LOV field containing options which can be added as a filter to the search. The client would like to know if it is possible to add certain fields to this area rather than having to create a template. Is this possible via personalizations? If not does anyone know why?

The client believed that once a template was created that this the newly added fields would remain on the page but this has not been the case. They have experienced some slow performance upon saving a template such as the template doesn’t perform that well i.e. takes a long time to load/sometimes freezes the page and takes a while to return the search.
