Can we update TUXEDO 12.1.3 to use JAVA 1.7 or later?

Oracle Tuxedo 12.1.3.0.0 is certified with Peopletools 8.55, and it comes installed with JAVA 1.6 (java version "1.6.0_37"). Additionally, JAVA 1.7 (java version "1.7.0_101-ea") comes installed in the Peopletools 8.55 PS_HOME directories. This is on a windows 2012 R2 server.

Can we update the JAVA version in Tuxedo to use JAVA 1.7 or later? If so, where is the JAVA download and instrunctions to update TUXEDO 12.1.3 to use JAVA 1.7.
