[PSFT] Webprofile "Caching" tab Number of States Supported

Experts,

What is the significance of the parameter "Number of States Supported" in Webprofile "Caching" tab?

Please help to understand the implications and impacts of increasing the same. We are on PT-8.58 with single server PIA and our current value for this param is 5.. Our java Heap set for web server is 4 GB.
