Delete a BOM of an Item which has Booked Sales Order Lines

Oracle Bills of Material does not allow you deleting a BOM (using Delete Group) if there exists some delete constraints. One of them is sales order lines. Even if we cancel those SO lines still deleting that BOM not possible. We have issues where users wanted to delete a BOM (or a common-ed BOM) but because there are records exists in OE_ORDER_LINES_ALL the delete group validation fails.

Does anyone has inputs on how do we delete the BOM in an org is there are sales order lines exists in OE_ORDER_LINES_ALL table? Does Oracle has an approved delete script to be run for deleting those cancelled order lines from database table(s)?
