Peoplesoft application server and Oracle Audit Vault/Database firewall

We have a peoplesoft application server connecting to an Oracle database through a proxy on the Oracle AVDF server. It works with version 12.2 of AVDF, but when we upgraded to version 20.3 of AVDF and now the application servers hangs during startup.

Has anyone run into this situation? Are there setting that I may be missing?
