How to delete incorrect PS_CFG_HOME folders

We forgot to create an environment variable for PS_CFG_HOME before creating an app server using PSADMIN, so the domain was created in the default User folder. We deleted the domain, then added the environment variable for the correct location. Going forward we are OK, but I'm not sure if there's any configuration hidden somewhere pointing to the wrong one, so I don't want to just delete the folders. Is there a clean/proper way to delete the remaining folder structure that was created in the User folder?
