How does signon.html page works?

Hi There I have a question for Oracle Gurus, Is there instruction on how the login page works there are multiple files on the web server however so far I have not come accross really good explenation on how everything works together:

Here are some of the files

signin.css

signin.js

signon.html

signon.wml

signontrace.html

styles.css

There is also HTML accessed via App designer

PTPP_SIGNIN
