PeopleCode Opening External URL in a New Window and Not In a New Tab

Hi all.

We are using PeopleTools 8.58.05 and we have run into a challenge with ViewConentURL() when opening an external URL. We need the URL to open in a New Window and not in a new tab. Is there any other function or perhaps some JavaScript that we can execute that will open the external URL in a New Window?

The reason why we are using ViewContentURL() is because we have to change a variable in the related URL definition with an EMPLID value. We are trying to open a related document managing system (Perceptive) to review related documents. The link cannot be opened in an I-Frame. This has been coded in an application package and has been linked into the employee data page via Related Content.
