What are the recommended steps when required to physically reboot PeopleSoft servers

Is there a document on the proper way to do this safely? E.g. bring down PIA domains using PS Admin tools, stop Tuxedo service, etc. before rebooting servers?

Network folks need to apply Windows patches to the servers and reboot them but don't want to have to interact with PS Admin tool, etc., nor wait on Applications team staff to be available to shut down domains, etc. Want to know what the risks are of just physically rebooting servers after applying security patches.

Are there corruption risks to rebooting servers without bringing down PIA domains through PS Admin, etc?
