Should we use E-Business Suite Pre-Install RPM available for OEL 7 on RHEL 7.x OS platform
We need a confirmation/clarification on what is the right approach to install rpms on RHEL 7.x for Oracle EBS R12.x installation.
Per 761566.1, we can install either using E-Business Suite Pre-Install RPM(that includes all the rpms required for both EBS apps and db tier) or download and separately install list of rpms mentioned in the same note.
For RHEL 7.x, we found no E-Business Suite Pre-Install RPM, so we used E-Business Suite Pre-Install RPM (available for Oracle Linux 7) on our RHEL OS. Is that the right approach?
Next, question is how are we going to maintain the OEL rpms going forward as now there is mix of redhat and OEL rpms? Shall we use both OEL and Redhat repos configured for receiving respective software updates?
