Translation Ledger Checkbox in Ledger setup
Currently on PeopleSoft 9.2 image 34. Tools 8.57.04
The requirement is to setup a new business unit that reports in USD, but has transactions entered in both a foreign currency as well as USD.
Question 1: I was wondering what happens if the Translation Ledger in the setup below is selected.
I am suspecting nothing will happen unless I setup/configure Revaluation or Translation, but I want to be 100% .
I found the statement below in PeopleBooks that confuses me when I was reviewing the Ledger Group Setup -- what does this mean?
Questions 2: What is the difference between "revaluation" and "translation".
Question 3: I am wondering if my primary ledger is in non-USD and my ledger number 2 is USD, will a user be able to enter journals into the USD ledger if it is designated a translate ledger? Is it possible to use this ledger to generate a complete and accurate set of USD financial reports?
