IDCS REST service PT858

Is IDCS or any third party for authentication the only option to pass headers for REST service's in PT858? we are providing a REST Service to another application which will send headers (JWT) so that we can authenticate the call. Its working fine in PT856.

Appreciate your help in this regards.
