After patching is done, the custom code like class files, symbolic link are getting deleted

Hi All, 

After patching is done, the custom codes like class files folder, symbolic link are getting deleted. This is not deleted for all custom code but on specific source. We have to rerelease all the codes again. We are in R12.2.8. Any leads/ information on this issue will be helpful.
