Is there a way to limit which recurrence definition a user can use?

My understanding is once we enable Recurrence Selection in a permission list, users who are given that permission list will have access to all the recurrent definitions.  Is there a way to limit the recurrence definitions a user can access, similar to process group security?  We're using PTools 8.58.
