How do you patch ODAs where standby databases exist alongside the primary?

The ODA deployment and user's guide for 19.12 indicates that the standby database should be patched first, then the primary. Given that the ODA patching updates all databases on the ODA, how do we patch when a primary and standby database exist on the same ODA? For example, an ODA in Texas might host the primary database for Texas and a standby database for Florida. An ODA in Florida hosts the primary database for Florida and a standby database for Texas. When it comes time to patch does it matter which ODA (in Texas or Florida) gets patched first? Are
